Ensurance Get Cover Now

What is Ensurance?

Ensurance is Volkswagen’s accident and repair cover, which works alongside your main motor insurance policy to help you if your car is damaged in an accident or stolen.

If the unexpected was to happen, a dedicated Claims Manager will be available for you to contact 24 hours a day. They will look after the entire claim for you from start to finish - liaising with your motor insurer, any third parties and our Volkswagen Insurance approved repairers - so you can relax knowing your claim is being dealt with by an expert.

They will arrange for your vehicle to be recovered and taken to a Volkswagen Insurance approved repairer to be repaired by Volkswagen trained technicians who will only use Volkswagen parts and paints. And where possible, we make sure the repairer provides you with a courtesy car to get you back on the road.

Ensurance also provides you with legal expenses insurance to help you recover uninsured losses and costs from the person responsible for causing a vehicle collision that results in damage to your vehicle, or injuries to you

Who is Ensurance designed for?

Ensurance is designed for anyone driving a Volkswagen. We have created Ensurance to ensure you receive great customer service and all the help you need if your car is damaged in an accident or is stolen.

If I already have a Volkswagen motor insurance policy should I activate Ensurance?

As a Volkswagen motor insurance customer you already receive a guarantee that your vehicle will be repaired in a Volkswagen Insurance approved repairer, by Volkswagen trained technicians who will only use genuine Volkswagen parts and paints;

Ensurance provides the following additional benefits;

  • Dedicated Claims Manager to assist you with your claim from start to finish;
  • Claims reporting online or via iPhone app;
  • Online claims tracking.
How can I buy Ensurance?

Ensurance is available free of charge to all Volkswagen customers so If you have a Volkswagen you can activate Ensurance now and benefit from free accident and repair cover.

How long does Ensurance last for?

Ensurance covers you and your vehicle for three years.

When can I activate Ensurance?

Ensurance can be activated at any time.

How does Ensurance work?

If you are involved in an incident all you need to do is ensure that you let us know first. You can do this 24 hours a day by calling 0845 900 3648, via our online notification form or using our iPhone app. We will then manage the claim from start to finish - liaising with your motor insurer, any third parties and our Volkswagen Insurance approved repairers.

We will arrange for your vehicle to be recovered and for any repairs to take place in a Volkswagen Insurance approved repairer, by trained technicians who will only use genuine parts and paints.

Where possible, we will make sure that you are provided with access to a courtesy car for the duration of the repair. If you was not at fault and there is a traceable third party motor insurer for the other vehicle(s) involved in the incident, we may at our discretion pay for and supply you with a hire car more suitable to your needs.

Ensurance also provides you with legal expenses insurance to help you recover uninsured losses and costs from the person responsible for causing a vehicle collision that results in damage to your vehicle, or injuries to you.

Does my motor insurance provide the cover in Ensurance?

Ensurance provides a guarantee that your vehicle will be repaired within our approved network by Volkswagen trained technicians who will only use genuine parts and paints, this is a promise that you are unlikely to receive from your current motor insurance provider.

How does Ensurance work with my existing motor insurer?

Once you notify us of a claim our dedicated team will liaise with your motor insurer on your behalf and manage the claim. We'll keep you informed about progress and act as your main point of contact throughout the entire claim and repair process.

How do I report an incident?

If the unexpected does occur please remember to call us first on 0845 900 3648. Alternatively you can report the incident to us online, or via our iPhone app.

Can I cancel my Ensurance cover?

You may cancel your Ensurance cover at any time.

Ensurance is a free service, so if you choose to cancel your Ensurance cover you will not be entitled to any refund.

How do I change any of my details?

Please telephone 0845 900 3648 so we can make the changes to your details.

What happens if I change my car?

You can transfer your existing cover if you change your car to another Volkswagen vehicle. Simply call us on 0845 900 3648 - we'll make the changes and issue you with an updated Confirmation of Cover.

I haven't received my Confirmation of Cover or need a replacement copy of the Ensurance Cover Booklet?

If you haven't received your Confirmation of Cover and Ensurance Cover Booklet within 24 hours of activating Ensurance please call us on 0845 900 3648, so we can arrange for a copy to be sent to you. A copy of the Ensurance Cover Booklet can also be found here.
